Rapid City Real Estate Market Report - November 2009
November is done already?
Catching up! Real estate here in Rapid City continues to stream right along. Although the extension of the tax credit seems to have eliminated the urgency of some buyers (I'm sure it will be back come March and April...), we seem to be holding steady with last year's numbers.
Although the number of sold residential listings is down across the board, sales are above last year in the "preowned category" - with the average sales price even notching up a bit.
Certainly good news as we head into the Holiday Season and cold winter months. (And it has been COLD!)

Here's the breakdown of home sales this November:
0 to 100,000 14
101,000 to 125,000 17
126,000 to 150,000 17
151,000 to 175,000 17
176,000 to 200,000 13
201,000 to 225,000 8
226,000 to 250,000 6
251,000 to 275,000 4
276,000 to 300,000 1
300,000 and above 9
Once again, seeing the majority of the action under the $200,000 range - showing the action of the first time homebuyers.
Looking forward to a great December and an awesome Spring!
